Love is in the air around Nebraska with many places to take your Valentine for a special treat!
Comedy, wine and chocolate, and couples cooking classes top the list of ways to share your love this Valentine’s Day.
Here’s eight great date nights around the state for your Valentine.

Mac’s Creek Winery & Vineyards near Lexington – Feb. 14, 6 p.m.

2. Love at the Zoo
Henry Doorly Zoo, Omaha – February 10 and 11, 6:30-9 p.m.
Join Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium for a lighthearted presentation about dating and mating in the animal kingdom. Tickets are $75 per person and include a champagne welcome, dinner, two free drink tickets, dessert, special animal encounters and a presentation about the courtship, romance and reproduction of animals held inside the Suzanne and Walter Scott Aquarium.
3. A Night of Wine and Chocolate
James Arthur Vineyard, Raymond – Feb. 14, 6:30 p.m.

This rural Central-Nebraska vineyard will offer a three-course meal of spinach salad with raspberry vinagrette, a traditional cheese fondue with variety of items such as breads, vegetables and meats to dip, and a luscious chocolate fondue with assorted fruits, cake, and treats for dessert. $50 per couple.
7. Love & Laughter featuring comedian Tim Cavanagh with special guest magician Chase Hasty
Minden Opera House, Minden – Feb. 10, 6 p.m.
Love & Laughter pairs great food with great entertainment for an evening that is fun for everyone. Tim Cavanagh blends comedy songs, smart stand-up, and light-hearted audience interaction that make his performance more than just a collection of comedy bits, but an actual living, breathing SHOW! 8. Chocolate and Wine Pairings
Feather River Vineyards, North Platte – Feb. 11 and Feb. 12, 1-5 p.m.
The Feather River Vineyards in North Platte combines the decadent taste of chocolate with its wine at Chocolate and Wine Pairing events on Saturday, Feb. 11, and Sunday, Feb. 12, from 1-5 p.m. Couples can taste chocolate with the Sarabande and Rendezvous wines and enjoy wine-infused chocolates. Tastings are $5.
